I'm formally announcing the development of "Tube Leak." Tube Leak is a new application that really just makes browsing YouTube enjoyable.
Let's start by iterating through some of its features.
Tube Leak allows you to view all of the YouTube video pages. You can choose from Most Recent, Top Favorites, Most Discussed, etc. and choose the time frame for the videos. You can also do the basic searching.
What's cool about this is that you can save a whole page of search results and it will be available from then on by accessing the Saved Results page within Tube Leak.
To actually watch a YouTube video, just click on the thumbnail image of the video you want to play. It will automatically start playing only a short moment later. From there, you can save the video to your YouTube favorites(which will be synched with Tube Leak itself), find related videos, and post the video to an assortment of social networking sites.
But, perhaps the most useful feature is that of the big iPod button at the top. Press this button and your video will automatically start downloading and be converted to an appopriate format. You can save videos to be played on your PSP, iPod, or PC itself.
All of this happens in the background and doesn't require one bit of work on the user's part.
Just sit back and surf. :)
As of right now, pricing is set at $5 per license. Payment will be done via PayPal.
Through necessity, I have created an online tool that will generate an RSS feed using the official YouTube RSS format for a large majority of YouTube video pages. Not all pages are guaranteed to work, but the generator will do its best! I made this for an aggregator of my own, but if anybody finds it useful, I would love to hear about it!
Usage:

Examples:
http://tysonc.net/yourtube/rss.php?p=http://youtube.com/browse?s=ms&t=m&c=0&n=Most Responded This Month
http://tysonc.net/yourtube/rss.php?p=http://youtube.com/results?search_query=tenacious+d&n=Tenacious D Videos
So I've resumed work on my YouTube client like application.
Here's some new screenshots:

As you can see, it uses YouTube's player for streaming video. But, I've written my own player for all local files. It supports quite a large array of formats as of right now. Downloading YouTube videos and converting them to a portable format is really easy with this application... just click on the iPod button at the top and a wizard will facilitate the operation. You can then go back to playing local media or watching YouTube videos while the videos download and convert themselves in the background.
This program needs a new name and a logo. Help. :P
